"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, that sounds like a lot of progress, and I'm glad your brother was able to help a bit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

as it turns out, the doctor absolutely had NOT ruled that out as a cause, and Dad misunderstood her

I was hoping that was the situation. Hooray for your brother, and the doc, and bourbon! Hang in there. You can get through this part and you don't have to keep carrying your dad yourself forever

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Glad to hear there are at least some steps in the right direction happening, Steph!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I know I only met your brother for a hot second years ago, Teppy, but he struck me as so big and strong and good- hearted... I'm glad he's on your team.

Herding cats for fun

Going to bed happy because of the art saving firefighter, not to mention good news about health care plans in Teppytown. Yay on competent helpful siblings.

I used to think it would have been so cool to be a teenager in the Sixties so I could be grooving at the love ins, marches and protests, but now I don't like those things all that much.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Sounds like things are moving in a good direction, Steph. I'm glad.

Thrive to spite them

Zen totally check out GoodRx. I use them and it helps some. My Vyvanse is still $200 a month, which is more than I can really afford but it's less than the $300ish it would be without the GoodRX.

Teppy I'm glad that your dad's doctor just didn't have the full information instead of not being a good doctor. And I'm glad there is a lot your brother can do to help support y'all even though he is in CO.

I didn't watch the RNC except what little I saw in passing because M's mom had it on . She told us she is writing in M's name instead of voting for Trump or Biden. In hindsight I should be just asked her what her objections to Biden were instead of telling her she might as well not vote.

M had been mocking the number of flags so she was feeling defensive anyway. I'm pretty sure all of M's family is going to vote for Trump. I think they still support him , well his mom doesn't really but she might be the only one.

Our wings are not tired.

Hooray for your brother, and the doc, and bourbon!

Indeed! That was all very good to read, Teppy. Phew!
