You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Ack, Zen! No further breakage! Are you going to the doctor soon?

I tried to go to sleep 45 minutes ago, I was feeling very very sleepy. And instead I laid here with thoughts of all the things I need to do, going through my head. Argh. Have given in and taken half a sleeping pill, but I took one last night and fear it's why this morning after hitting snooze twice I turned off my alarm and fell back asleep for an hour!

...still awake. Argh.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Hi meara! (I hope that you fell asleep by now).

Hey. New board.

I decided to pay a monthly fee and give up all my privacy to get 2 TB of Google Drive storage, and every file of even slight importance I own lives on it, solely because even for pretty techy people like me traditional backups are a nightmare.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh Zen! You both made me laugh with the dysfunctional middle finger, and made me wince at the jump off the wall. Take it easy, woman!

I hope sound sleep happened, meara.

Zoe is acting 100% normal this morning. DH is taking her to get her echo this morning.

Backups happen for me nightly. A while ago I moved my computer system to a virtual machine at our datacenter where I store all my customer's medical records. Their backups happen multiple times a day, but mine just once is fine. Our datacenter is here in Florida, but it also replicates to Chicago at night in case we get hit by a meteor or something. I don't' know, let's just say I work with super diligent geeks. My local computer may have a few pictures on it, but I move things regularly to my cloud machine. I work all day in a remote desktop session.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I fly back to California tonight from the winter wonderland of Michigan. I land late, I have a cold, and I have to get up tomorrow morning at 5am, so Thursday is gonna be rough.

Working from my parents' house with them retired has been frustrating, with some role reversal where I'm the one yelling at them to keep the racket down and that some of us have to work in the morning.

So ideas to raise/earn an extra 4200 before the end of the year?

Yikes. Got anything big around the house you want to get rid of? Seasonal work? Offer services as a personal shopper? GoFundMe?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I know no one cares (and rightly), but I am watching a documentary about high school theater awards, and this one high school has the most obnoxious adults. Talking passive-agressive smack about another high school down the road that did the same show.

"They probably thought it was the best high school show they'd ever seen, and it was, but they didn't come see ours."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I wonder if Gud would find anything useful here: [link]

Wow, that's ridiculous Dana!

I did eventually fall asleep :) probably got about six hours when normally I'm an 8-10 hours girl. But maybe that just means I can sleep tonight.

Same dude, when his school was nominated for 16 awards and only won one:
