Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Good, because that is what I am doing! I am going to work to pick up a GO Pro camera so I can record videos of my hands on the iPad

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Why the hell isnt s/he wearing a mask?

I think that Uber Drivers in Rochester are also the people who don't believe in masks/social distancing because our cases never got that bad.

What is even happening?

Can you not request a masked driver?

I did! It said he would be masked. He did not have one. I don't love being alone in a car with a strange man who is angry, so I didn't push.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is understandable. Glad it wasn't a long ride.

I had planned to do stuff today but our air quality is officially unhealthy and Doug stuff is physically challenging so I think that I will not.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Jacqueline's father's house caught on fire last night. There's major fire damage, water damage and smoke damage. All the stuff she's been sorting carefully since his death is probably lost.

It's a significant part of her and her two brothers' inheritance and it's pretty fucked right now.

And honestly, with all the wildfire damage and my experience with insurance companies during disaster, I don't expect there to be any expeditious payout on the claim.

was it the wildfires or another cause? Oh I just saw on FB, awful.

Electrical fire started by the AC. JZ's mom was staying there this week with the AC on and smelled something funny (burning plastic-y). They called the realtor, she had an electrician come out to check it. He said turn off the AC which was getting strained with all the smoke from the wildfires. But I guess the fire might have already started? Unsure. But they do know it started with the AC.

I can't believe they actually had somebody out to look at it and still couldn't prevent this.

I think those are the correct details. Jacqueline can report on it better. She's meeting with the insurance agent now.
