Electrical fire started by the AC. JZ's mom was staying there this week with the AC on and smelled something funny (burning plastic-y). They called the realtor, she had an electrician come out to check it. He said turn off the AC which was getting strained with all the smoke from the wildfires. But I guess the fire might have already started? Unsure. But they do know it started with the AC.
I can't believe they actually had somebody out to look at it and still couldn't prevent this.

Sophia -- You can go into the app to rate your Uber driver. Report his damn ass. I say this as a driver with lots of experience. They know what they have to do per company directions, and I doubt they're going to be casual about it.
That said, 15 minutes is supposedly acceptable if you yourself are masked, since it's the accumulation of virus particles (AKA the inoculum, my favorite new word) that seems to be the most important factor in getting sick.

Same. I'm trying to figure out when I can get some errands done when I won't be On-Call and the air quality isn't so bad.
Text-banking for 2 orgs: Red2Blue which has you go through a training, send controlled texts at specific times in a moderated slack channel for specific areas or candidates, and reviews your texts each day. Also these lists are small because they are for a specific candidate or a county or something similar.
Then for When We All Vote, which does not give you training, does not limit how many you text, has HUGE lists of all registered voters, has no means that I can see to ask a live person questions while you are texting, and also from what I can see offers no feedback on the texts you send. For this to be Michelle Obama's group and have so little oversight is really bad.
So sorry to hear the news about JZ's dad's house.
