He's being charged in a Federal court, the SDNY. Which means that Trump can and will pardon him, eventually.
The acting US Attorney for SDNY is Audrey Strauss. Strauss was deputy to the former US Attorney for SDNY, Geoffrey Berman. You may recall that two months ago, Bill Barr tried to force out Berman, by lying that Berman had resigned when he had not, so that they could replace Berman with Trump loyalist, Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton.
Berman refused to resign until the Senate approved Clayton, which is why Barr had to accept Strauss as Berman's replacement.
It seems like the writers have gotten a second wind in the run up to the season 4 (and please let it be a series) finale.

Apparently whatever work that needed to be done in front of our parking spots was done, because the signs are gone.(The work was actually done in front of the house a few doors down, but they needed people out of their parking spots so they could park their truck lengthwise.)
