But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

So cute! I had it in my head you already bought the Halloween skirt, so obviously I think you should.

I posted it on FB a couple of weeks ago to admit that, although under normal circumstances I shake my tiny fist and rail at people who get hyped for Halloween in August (because it is Too Damn Early), I was eyeing up that skirt, so I have fallen prey to Early Halloween.

No reason you can't wear cute skirts at home for your own enjoyment

I live in gym shorts or t-shirt dresses when the temperature is above 70, so a flippy little skirt is really no different.

Thrive to spite them

That's a cute skirt.

Well I don't have to worry about if I have enough hours next week we are back to 39.5 hours and it looks like maybe the store hours are changing again because on Friday and Saturday I'm scheduled until 8. Hopefully more hours means there will be more people to do things rather than I have almost 40 hours and there is no one to do anything.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, the evacuation zone is this side of the hills now, but still the other end of Fairfield from me. Still feeling like I am probably ok where I am but do not like

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Came home yesterday to find a sign in the grass in front of my parking spot that said repair work was happening from 8/19-8/21 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, so no parking. Parked in a guest spot. Came home from work today to see no indication that any work had been done, but the sign was still there.

What is even happening?

-t and Katerina Bee, I hope you stay safe and breathe easy (ditto all the other nearby Cal-istas).

juliana, are you in California now, too?

Teppy, I like both skirts. They're really cute.

Elsewehere in Greater Camberville, somebody had the Madonna stolen out of their front yard.

I'm not Catholic, but that seems like a good way to get yourself cursed.

This is what always gets me about the theft of religious objects, particularly something like an outdoor yard statue, that is unlikely to have any monetary value.

If you believe it, you (should) be of the opinion that having a stolen statue isn't likely to bestow any divine favor.

If you don't believe it, and didn't steal it for its value, why do you want it; aren't you just the eensiest bit suspicious, just in a popular conception of karma way?

They must have had to rest from putting up that sign.

Evacuation zone has spread to this side of the interstate but still pretty much a whole (small but bigger than my city) city away.

It would be really nice to have some rain about now. Or less wind, at least.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So scary!

Our wings are not tired.

Very scary. I wish I could divert rain your way.

We'd sure appreciate it! It is supposed to be less hot tomorrow so I'm crossing my fingers that that means conditions improve for containment and whatnot

Perhaps reading a murder mystery set during Katrina while keep half an eye on the evacuation orders is not that smart of a choice. Surely there's something else I can read...
