I know, world in peril and we have to work together. This is my last office romance, I'll tell you that.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yay, askye!

And also, yay school confirmation! I'm glad Matilda has a friend who's glad to have Matilda as a schoolmate. It's always easier with a buddy.

I was scrolling up the list of thread names, and how is Heaven's Just a Funky Moose Natter from 2008? We need to do redux thread names--greatest hits!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I feel all macho today, I helped my super move the oven this afternoon and even lifted it by myself while he adjusted supports beneath it. (I may be able to cook pizzas and other baked good again. Or possibly burn the building down...)

I also set up the Biden sign my mom bought in her front yard. Friends of hers have had their political signs tampered with, so I positioned this one so that anyone swerving into the yard to mow it down will get to enjoy a collision with either the mailbox (on a 4x4 metal post sunk in concrete) or the raised concrete storm drain. I'll be happy to pay for another sign if some angry Trumper totals their car trying to destroy it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

so I positioned this one so that anyone swerving into the yard to mow it down will get to enjoy a collision with either the mailbox (on a 4x4 metal post sunk in concrete) or the raised concrete storm drain.

Ha! Excellent.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'll be happy to pay for another sign if some angry Trumper totals their car trying to destroy it.

I don't HOPE that happens, but if it does happen, I'll laugh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good one!

I walked by some friends' little free library this morning, and instead there was a plastic box with a sign that said the library had been seriously vandalized and needed to be replaced! Who TF does that??

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Elsewehere in Greater Camberville, somebody had the Madonna stolen out of their front yard.

I'm suspicious that Pandemic Distress Disorder has people acting out in weird ways.

Thrive to spite them

So it's a relief to have the car stuff behind me but my car insurance went up again so it's now $200/month.

I know I need to figure out if there is anything I can do to get it down like a defensive driving class but I am not up to figuring that out right now. I'll wait until next month. Just only so much I can deal with at one one time. Or maybe next week.

I on vacation this week and that is yay. Double yay is M's mom is house sitting so we have the place to ourselves until Sat

It's been so nice not having the extra drama and yelling.

Coding and Sleeping

Car insurance is a drag. We're footing the bill for both kids (18 and 21) until they are more on their feet and it really adds up with younger drivers.

I'm not Catholic, but that seems like a good way to get yourself cursed.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

TCG has a meeting tonight so it is pizza/movie night for ltc and myself. It's my turn to pick the movie. I'll have to figure out a good one she hasn't seen yet.
