I have literally drunk a gallon of water already today and I still feel like I might be a little on the dehydrated side. Gosh, it's hot.

Aww, congrats to The Cutest Transkid In The World!!! I love that she has love and support surrounding her!
(I'm suddenly convinced I have the ancient nicknames of Gud's kids wrong -- wasn't she the cutest baby and your older daughter the cutest toddler? or was that a sequential thing referring to one or the other? is there a whole nickname series I'm missing? Anyway, much love!!)
7 seems to be the time when Mr. S turns into wild thing. Don't know why.
There was definitely a cutest baby/kid in the world thing, amych.
Gud, I'm wishing your daughter all the best and that as her transition progresses, she'll start to feel some more confidence.
Hec, I'm shaking my fist at your school district on Matilda's behalf. This is ridiculous. It's particularly ridiculous in a distance-learning situation. I mean, it's not like space is an issue. (I know it will matter long-term, but I don't care to be reasonable.)
We had a very good morning, and then somewhere around 3 it was like ltc flipped a switch into crank mode.
Me too, ltc. Me too.
sj, if we lived closer, I'd have you send her over in the afternoons and we'd go on secret cookie benders together. I'm sorry your afternoon was rough.
I'm sorry, Sheryl. Everyone's tired by 7, which never makes it easier.
Hooray for gender discovery! Happy that your youngest was able to identify and start moving in the direction that was right for her, Gud.
You know what I just started doing that I have discovered I fucking hate? Painting out trim/baseboards. It takes a level of exactitude that is really hard for me to maintain for, like, more than 10 minutes. It also involves a lot of bending which is not great on my back!
Thanks, Cindy. She was honestly so delightful this morning using her tablet and then doing art while I was trying to take a class online that I was not prepared for the total 180 after lunch.
Hec, I'm shaking my fist at your school district on Matilda's behalf.
I think that made the difference BECAUSE WE GOT AN OFFER!
So tomorrow I will accept Matilda's slot at Raoul Wallenberg HS. Which is a smaller HS, with a strong academic record (rated 8 out of 10 in the district), and actually the HS which is physically closest to us. Also one of her close friends is going there.
Also, they play softball in the spring.
I might get a night's sleep tonight.
Hec, that's great news! Is Matilda happy with the school?
Woo!
