I'm so sorry, Zen. {{{Zen}}}
So sorry, Gud. It's so hard.
Laura, so many good vibes for Zoe and a more hopeful outcome.
Another friend of mine had to put down her beloved cat this weekend. And between her and all the Wolfenoot people posting about beloved pets that have passed, FB has been a very tear-inducing place this weekend.
meara, I also think muscle-strain is more likely with the delayed reaction pain. I was thinking of the couple of occasions I went rock climbing - the next day my hands were a little stiff, but not so bad; the second day I could barely close them.
msbelle, you have the patience of a saint. Good luck.
In case I forgot anyone, love to you all. {{{Buffistas}}}
It is so much less energy, although more money, if they would do what they are supposed to do so they could be rewarded. I so feel your pain.
Timelies all!
~ma to all who need/want it.
Keeping Zoe in my thoughts, Laura
meara, we clearly need to protect you with many layers of bubble wrap.
Laura, I am so sorry. I have been there, years ago, I took my cat Pico in for a procedure to drain what we thought was an abscess only to find it was bone cancer. It was heartbreaking. My love to you and the family.
So shopping during the Mercury retrograde is going as well as you would think. (I don't even believe in it. Or do I?) Friday, a pair of boots I ordered were marked "out for delivery". Only to have a mysterious "weather event" force the delivery truck back to the garage right around supper time. They arrived today though, and they're not the brand advertised on the website (a reliable Cdn winter boot brand) but store brand (Naturalizer). They're also supposed to be wide-calf and 8W, which is what the box says, but the boots say 8M. I returned them to the store and didn't even get an apology from the salesperson.
Then my one package that's actually a gift was shipped via Canada Post, which is in the middle of a labour dispute and is staging rotating strikes. I've heard they're a month behind on packages. Miraculously, that package was also supposed to be out for delivery today. Until Halifax staff walked off the job. Womp. Womp. I'm hoping it'll arrive tomorrow.
I'm at urgent care so cross your fingers for me
meara, fingers are crossed.
Oh Laura, I hope it's something that can be treated rather than the cancer the vet initially diagnosed.
Grade all the things, Kat! Or else you'll have all the things + more.
msbelle, you are way more patient than I could ever be. He doesn't know how damned good he has it.
Urgent care claims not broken. Not sure I trust them (random offsite radiologist) but it's still shitty. My wrist hurts like crazy whenever I try to use it. Like say moving my scooter.
Gud, I'm sorry for your loss. They give us so much love, but they just can't stay.
Laura... yeah, it sucks to have to prepare yourself and family for what may be coming for Zoe.
~ma, meara.
I wrote him a whole long email tonight. He needs to make some decisions about next year and I tried to spell it all out for him. I also told him that anymore drug use or any more failed classes and he would have fewer choices in front of him. I'll be getting him info on all the armed forces shortly.
