That's a big deal, Gud! How's your wife dealing with that?
She's doing okay. She's completely supportive, but she has some sadness over it which which is normal. She's not really involved with the church right now.

She's doing well, though maybe a little frustrated that she has a difficult time passing as female because of her voice and appearance.
Yeah, that is news! I hope she feels more comfortable in her identity this way.
Aw, mazel tov and best wishes to your youngest daughter, Gud

Is she going to pursue HRT? That'll have a big effect.
ION, today would be the first day of high school for Matilda. But she still doesn't have a school assignment. So we are in limbo waiting for a spot to open in one of the four high schools we'd be willing to go into. She's in a Wait Pool for one school, and we're talking to a counselor on Thursday. But it's very stressful and giving me many sleepless nights.
On the other hand, it's all online and probably will be online at least until after xmas break. So everybody else is kind of missing out on the classic Starting High School experience.
It's very helpful that she has supportive parents. eta: really to both Gud and Hec!

Already started it.
Hooray for supportive parents of all stripes.
Already started it.
She's probably already discovered these, but have her check out the kind of HRT timelines people post on Pinterest where they show where they were at various stages. It's dramatic to see how much can change over a year or two.
