Oh cool, you get to vote against Lindsey Graham! We don't have any Senate races this year. I'll likely vote in person, either early or on election day depending on when I get back to Florida. The lines are generally long both early and election day, but I don't have an issue with queueing.

And that race is surprisingly close!
The number of people in this country that seem to be perpetually waiting for an excuse to shoot people is absolutely demoralizing. You've got organized groups like the various militias and the Boogaloo Boys and then you've got all the normal gun nuts on top of it.
Shit is seriously making me wonder if I should be looking for another country to move my family to (and part of me wonders if anywhere would actually be safe if the USA went full dictatorship while the ruler was in Russia's pocket.)
Timelies all!
Probably going to do in-person voting. Early voting, if I can.
I've been low key worried about right wing militias or the like starting some widespread organized violence for so long that I don't feel appreciably more worried now. I suppose the likelihood is greater and could certainly get higher with election reactions but it feels like the same worry.
We got the heat advisory on through Wednesday, and I was thinking about going into the office to take advantage of their A/C, but today isn't even really hot yet and it's already too oppressively warm to be wearing clothes, so I don't know.
I have ice cream and frozen peas, though, so I am that much prepared, at least.
I'll be honest, I'm getting all of our paperwork ready to move to Canada if necessary. M & Peanut are both fine, they're both Canadian citizens, it's just me that might have difficulties. But I finally got my passport back (after sending it in on March 1), so I've got that going for me.
My voting plans are as follows:
1) Vote early in-person at town hall for our state primary (for US Senate, not POTUS) on August 22nd (election is September 1)
2) Request a mail-in ballot for the general election, and drop it off in person on the first day of in-person early voting
2a) If I don't receive a mail-in ballot, or if something else changes for the worse, I will vote early, in-person.
2b) If something else changes for the worse, my family has instructions to dress up my debilitated body or actual corpse and make me/it vote in person, on election day, Weekend at Bernie's style.
That's sensible, juliana.

I don't blame you a bit, juliana.
