I look more rad than Lutheranism

I mean, yes, get tested. But hives can be a reaction to a lot of other things -- new food, new laundry detergent, and stress for sure.

But getting tested is the only way to rule Covid in or out, so definitely do that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh dear, David. Fingers crossed! That would really be adding insult to injury.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh dear, David. Fingers crossed! That would really be adding insult to injury.

I didn't even go to Sturgis! C'mon, man! I've been pretty fuckin' isolated and masked up since March!

I didn't even go to Sturgis!

For real, one of Tim's co-workers is at Sturgis. And I'm positive he's not going to self-quarantine for 2 weeks after he comes back, and I am fucking FURIOUS about it. So goddamn selfish and irresponsible.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I'm with Steph. Get tested. But stress hives or even hives from a bug bite happen. At least to me, a lot.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Definitely get tested, but two bites next to each other like that can be flea bites.

Coding and Sleeping

I've heard people say essentially that they don't care if they get COVID, but it's hard for me to understand how you can't make the connection to collective action being the key to keeping things under control and getting things back to normal.

I mean, honestly, I don't care if I get COVID even if it kills me, but I care a lot about not spreading it to others.

I mean, we put up with stop signs and stop lights because we know it would suck if everybody ignored them. Why is wearing a mask so different?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I almost have the opposite reaction: I was just considering last night that I have an absolute conviction that I WON'T get COVID, that I'll turn out to be immune or something, or else I'll get a mild case if I do (for all I know, I already have). I try my best to take every safe precaution, because spreading it would be catastrophic where I work. But I bone-deep don't believe I'll get sick.

Minds are funny things.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My funny mind swings between being certain I won't get Covid, and being terrified I will. Make up your mind, mind. But yes, wearing masks and washing hands etc because I believe in risk reduction.

I've been so damn tired. This new job is taking all my energy. The guy whose job I'm doing promised he'd leave me documentation on everything I could possibly need; surprise, he did not.

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I go back and forth between being convinced I won't get it (good immunity, never had a flu, consistent mask and hand washing), and OMG I coughed, I must have Covid!! Since it is easy enough to get tested here I'll do so again a week or so after Brendon arrives since I'll be scheduling him anyway. Tests are reassuring. Bless NY for making it easy and free.
