I am glad the party went well, sj!
I think in Wester NY the mask usage is going down, because we didn't have a big surge. Maria and I went to a park today, and people were really gathered. We parked far away and then just walked to the hiking trail, and we only ran into one or two other families on the trail, but none of them were even carrying masks. We left pretty quickly. I mean, maybe we were dumb to even pod, but I think there came a point where we couldn't be the only (adult) person we ever talked to in person. And also, frankly, if I get sick I am going to need her and probably vice versa.
Also, does anyone else have Gwynnie Bee? I had it and loved it before the pandemic, but now I don't really need it and it seems IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. I have been on hold for hours, and I don't have that much time to be on hold, what with all the zoom meetings! I do not need to spend $80 a month on a dress subscription service I am not using. Maria thought maybe I could send a letter? It is with Paypal, so I am not even sure I could take it up with my "credit card" company.
I think you can deauthorize a subscription in PayPal if it comes to that, Sophia. I seem to remember doing that for something or other.
Fuck! I thought I had a spider bite on my shoulder, but then I got two that were symmetrically placed on the front of my shoulders and some on my hands. And I thought "I know spider are good with patterns but that suggests it's something in my system rather than an external bite."
And I just looked up "Hives as a symptom of Covid" and it looks EXACTLY THE SAME. Even in the same fucking spot. I think I need to get tested tomorrow.
I mean, yes, get tested. But hives can be a reaction to a lot of other things -- new food, new laundry detergent, and stress for sure.
But getting tested is the only way to rule Covid in or out, so definitely do that.
Oh dear, David. Fingers crossed! That would really be adding insult to injury.

I didn't even go to Sturgis! C'mon, man! I've been pretty fuckin' isolated and masked up since March!
I didn't even go to Sturgis!
For real, one of Tim's co-workers is at Sturgis. And I'm positive he's not going to self-quarantine for 2 weeks after he comes back, and I am fucking FURIOUS about it. So goddamn selfish and irresponsible.
I'm with Steph. Get tested. But stress hives or even hives from a bug bite happen. At least to me, a lot.
Definitely get tested, but two bites next to each other like that can be flea bites.
