Montgomery County has now declared that private schools cannot open for in-person learning until October 1. So the first month of Mr.S's school will be done virtually.

That's what I thought, Sheryl. ltc actually qualifies for kindergarten this year (but only by 2 weeks), but we decided before the pandemic hit that we would keep in preschool for one more year.

Her first week of school, I'm going to go through all of her toys and clothes. I haven't been able to get rid of a thing in months because she's ridiculously attached to everything.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
My one friend with a kid that age is so thrilled that she got into day camp for August! It's brutal having to be everything for a little kid all the time.

Today as I was leaving for work a coworker asked me if I had seen all the people upstairs, I said I wasn't paying too much attention.. I know it was busy and at one point there was knot of maybe 15 people, all being loud and I think they were all together or knew each other and none of them were social distancing...
anyway my coworker said "this is the first time I've really been scared".
Most people weren't wearing masks and she saw people coughing and sneezing. Which doesn't mean that they are sick but it's.. I think instead of running aroudn the store touching stuff I just want to be at my register and dealing with that.

I went out to fill up my gas tank (prep for possible hurricane) and drove home past the college campus. Saw a few students. Saw zero (0) masks.

nope we are not.
So for the past month or so the estimated cases for my county have been about the same number as the confirmed cases for the state. But that has chagned there are just over 90,000 confirmed cases for the state and about 60,000 estimated cases for the county. And about half a million estimated cases for the state...
There are people who won't take it seriously until they are sick and very very sick.
And if it gets bad enough that things have to close down again there will be people who blame it on the Democrats trying to ruin this country.
And i'll be out of a job.
