Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Thrill-a-minute? H just changed out all the Damp-Rids in the workshop. Still to go--under his bathroom vanity and mine. Woohoo! On the other hand, no mildew, so that's a good.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

What have I bought . . . a lot of bedding, because mine picked this year to start self-destructing - hooray for eBay and the Macy's clearances sales - some parts for my Nordic Track, and two blankets and a bolster for yoga; a couple of accessory sets for the Instant Pot; a truly ridiculous amount of tea, and a blue teapot to brew it in (it's the spitting image of my great-grandmother's, one of the Hall Pottery promotionals for Lipton Tea in the '30s); soil and plants (and these owls) for the balcony garden . . . .

And a loooooooooot of cheap Nook books.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I've bought so many plants and gardening things. Also books. And embroidery kits.

Our wings are not tired.

And a loooooooooot of cheap Nook books.

Yes, this has been on my spent list too. My eyes are paying the price. So much reading lately.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I've bought a lot of 1.99 ebooks. But I can't really blame that on COVID. I just . . . do that. On the other hand, I haven't bought my usual round of summer work clothes, because I'm working from home until at least 2021. It's t-shirts and shorts all day, every day. The only reason I put on shoes is to get the mail.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I bought another new-to-me film camera. And then payed more to get one of my other cameras repaired.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

When I have to lie down with the microwave beanbag on my head for a migraine, I end up listening to one of John Mulaney's Netflix specials, or letting an episode of some show that I've seen a gazillion times play on the iPad while I listen to it.

I used to do that, but my go-to show I've seen a gazillion times is Hannibal, and there's no way I'm not going to *watch* it. So if the migraine comes with light sensitivity, it's all audiobooks.

And they have to be audiobooks of things I've already read.

today's delivery was a houndstooth bodysuit and a black pencil skirt. Tres chic.

That will be a fantastic outfit.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

My pandemic shopping has been mostly groceries, masks, books, and music. Hec, I like the send-some-art-to-a-friend idea!

Also, for audiobooks, do you all know about Libro.fm?
