Coding and Sleeping

Do you want a new job, Gud?

I'm pretty happy with my current job, but I wouldn't mind getting paid more. I'm making less than at my last two jobs, especially after the COVID cut. Not that I can complain. I'm pretty fortunate.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just ordered cute boots because cute boots on sale. But I've been pretty austere about shopping otherwise. I think I'm even accidentally being frugal about groceries as a side effect of trying to go the store as infrequently as possible.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I've been trying not to stress buy things on the internet, but I've mostly been failing. I'm trying to keep it to cheap digital books, groceries and gourmet foods, and gifts for ltc's birthday.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It was decided at work that we need to get tested on a regular basis, so I had a test yesterday. Results come through pretty quickly, so I know I'm negative for the virus.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I've been shopping online too much and eating too much.

On the bright side, Wisconsin just got a state mask mandate.

Our wings are not tired.

That's great, Sheryl. Frequent testing helps both in control of the virus and emotional well being.

I've shopped more than I should. Clothes because I didn't pack much thinking I would be returning to Florida, and frankly I wear stuff that is decades old so not crazy shopping. House stuff just because. For a bit I was getting deliveries most every day. I have calmed down somewhat.

I am buying house stuff, come to think of it. Since I'm here all the time and constantly see what needs doing, and Home Depot gave me a credit card.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've been buying:

1) Tiny little handmade things on Etsy. These are cheap and fannish items such as this one inspired by Fleabag. [link]

2) ABE Books for Children's books that I grew up with like... [link]

3) Discogs to get 7" singles like... [link]

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I've mostly been buying makeup (damn you MELT Cosmetics for directly targeting me!), vintage perfumes, and stickers from fan artists.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.
