He says he likes looking at it out the window, but he plans to stay right on campus and not try driving around.
Smart!
My dishes to pass seem so tiny, but realistically, we only have 5 people, and no one but me is really going to eat it, so I don't want a big expense/to deal with leftovers. I know my mom will say it is the height of rudeness.
Eh. Ignore your mom. I brought way too many crudite to our Thanksgiving and just brought most of it home. I'm not mad about that, but it's basically dumb.
I think the only thing we didn't end up having too much of was Mac and cheese (a surprise given that two of the eight people there couldn't eat it!)
PIE FOR BREAKFAST.
I have an annoying ST. Bernard snorfling all over me. Went to the climbing gym and discovered that everyone with family in town decided to go climbing too. And then I tried to go to the movies but it was sold out. So I came home and had a lovely turkey-berry sandwich. NOM.
And I'm sorry, Zen. I hope that her family and you can find some peace.
I'm sorry, Zen.
It's been lovely reading about all of your holiday festivities. Thanksgiving was my first day off in a couple of weeks, as usual, so I enjoyed a quiet day on my own. I was fighting a migraine so I slept a lot, but I rallied enough to make a sweet potato-carrot-red lentil soup and some sauteed kale. I'll have soup for days.
I'm sorry, Zen.
I'm super-thankful for all of you. Buffistas have been my people from the first moment I landed here, and I'm so grateful for the love and support. I hope that I've given you half as much as you've given me.
