I get confused. I remember everything. I remember too much, and... some of it's made up, and... some of it can't be quantified, and... there's secrets.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for napping!

I have a husband and dog. He got here a couple hours ago. Already checked him in for his flight first thing in the morning. We'll go out for NY pizza tonight.

What is even happening?

Oh, I'm so glad they got there safely Laura.

Dana, my sleep has been all screwed up.

My youngest son had upper endoscopy and colonoscopy today as a followup to his October surgery. (I've been calling him my rotisserie chicken).

It went very well. DH took him (because they administer propofol for the procedure and C is loopy after). We have to wait 5-7 days for the biopsy results, but his doctor was very pleased with what he saw. There was a slightly red area in his stomach proper, but the doctor said that kind of mild thing can just happen in the course of eating.

He's ~50lbs heavier than he was when he had the colonoscopy in January 2019 (thank GOD) which allowed them to diagnose him. He had a hard time, what with all the pre-surgery abscesses, hospitalizations, etc., and his adrenal glands are still trying to rebound from all the steroids, but all in all, he's a new man and I'm so grateful.

Cindy, that is such great news about your son! I'm so happy for him (and you, of course)!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, son of Cindy! Who will always be the tooth boy/escape artist in my mind.

Therapy got ltc was stressful. The therapist mostly wanted to talk to us, and ltc was not having any of that nonsense. The suggestions were for some guided meditation before bed and a sound/white noise machine. Does anyone have a suggestion on the machine. It needs to have batteries because there is not a lot of plugs in ltc's room and preferably a not too bright night light and a timer function so it would automatically shut off after a while.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that, Cindy!

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Cindy, I was in need of some good news this morning, and that does the trick very nicely. Thank you for letting us know.

Continued ~ma to your son, to you, and to all of your family.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yay, Cindy! I was just thinking about your kid, and how lucky he was that most of the bad stuff he went through was pre-Pandemic.

I'm really not doing too well in the heat, but amazingly I got some quality sleep last night, so perhaps the meds are starting to help after a week (though they say 6 weeks to full effect.)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm glad your son is doing much better, Cindy.

I am going in to work all five days this week. (One of the techs is on vacation all week, and another person will be working from home Thursday and Friday.)
