"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

FWIW, I liked Solo. Especially Phoebe Waller-Bridges' character.

I got out the door early to do my run, which usually messes up my morning meal which I try to push as close to noon as possible (11:30 is typical). But through the power of Extra Coffee and a quick jaunt to Whole Foods I was able to finesse it.

It's gray, cold and foggy here today as is common in a San Francisco July, but Matilda still has plans to picnic with her friend Amelia. So I got them hummus and pita and watermelon chunks and goat cheese and crudities which Matilda neatly packed up into her wicker basket which would tempt but then disappoint Yogi Bear.

Hey. New board.

My wife likes the Mandalorian more than me, and is much LESS of a star wars fan than I am. I liked its look and the ideas, just wasn't crazy about the actual crafting - I got bored.

My favorite Disney+ thing is definitely High School Musical the Musical the Series, closely followed by Encore, but I am a special watcher.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I watched the first 2 eps of Mandalorian and could not make myself watch a third. Nothing about it made me want to know more about any character or plot point.

Hey. New board.

That's how I felt Jessica. It felt soulless to me.

High School Musical is a Disney Channel Original movie with extreme sticking power - my students for the last 12 years have all loved it. I like it too because I'm a musical theater kid with a love of cheesy kitsch.

High School Musical: The Musical is a theatrical adaptation of the movie, which has toured all over the country (world?) and of course has been done by students in high schools nationwide.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a television show about a group of students in a world where the movie exists who are putting on High School Musical: The Musical and, bonus, they happen to attend the California high school where the original movie was filmed.

It is very Glee. Lots of teen drama with sporadic musical numbers mostly drawn from the musical but some not.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a television show about a group of students in a world where the movie exists who are putting on High School Musical: The Musical and, bonus, they happen to attend the California high school where the original movie was filmed.

That makes my head hurt. I feel like making the television show might have opened a wormhole.

Because books.

I really wanted to like Encore, but it didn't hold my attention.

And I decided to go back and watch the original Star Wars trilogy before delving into the new ones, and promptly fell asleep.

Hey. New board.

I mean, my still favorite Kristen Bell role is Reefer Madness: The Musical: The Movie so there is precedent in the goofy musical genre.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

SInce we're still behind on the tv stuff that's currently airing,(all two shows) adding a streaming service isn't really in our plans.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Is Encore the one about revisiting high school musicals (not High School Musical)? I should definitely watch that.
