I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Two new grandbabies for member of my department over the weekend! A little good news for us.

Our wings are not tired.

Nice! Yes, it would be good for him to have a fresh start. Don't know how he will react to snow, but I'll make sure he gets into an apartment where things like snow removal happen. Yes, I shoveled tons of snow in my youth, but he has zero experience. He's been here maybe 3 times in winter but a few days as a kid on vacation isn't the same as driving through icy slush to work.

Yeah, that's bound to be a bit of a shock. My brother lived in Idaho for, jeez, I don't remember how long, I want to say over a decade though, after growing up in California and Louisiana with no snow. Every year the first few snowfalls were exciting for him and shovelling snow was a novelty but it never lasted the whole winter.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It is here in NY. He likes it here and may well stay after I go back to Florida in late October. That would be a very good thing.

Oh wow, that could be great.

That is true facts! Apartment living helps a LOT.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My apartment is the annoying kind where I have to shovel. I didn't even realize it until my downstairs neighbor left, because her grandson shoveled and the lease says they shovel shared entrances. Apparantly even though we go through one door, and then to our separate apartments, what they actually mean by shared are the apartment buildings (I live in a house with two apartments) on the same property that have separate entrances for each apartments. I gave up trying to explain what "shared" meant and bought a shovel.

But exciting for your son to have a new job! Yay!

So is mine, but I definitely feel more like I live in a house than in an apartment! (I am also in a two-family house.) When I think "apartment" I think a proper apartment building with a super and everything.

We don't really have those here except for very low income, seniors, and very large income (that I don't actually think anyone rents). We do have a lot of complexes with many small buildings with 3-4 units and a pool, and those have supers.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

When I was growing up, at one point we had neighbors from Brazil. The woman's father was a carpenter and he - and her mother - came up to northern New Jersey to help them get their new house in shape. While they were there, it snowed. Being from Brazil, they hadn't seen snow before. The man stood just inside the garage, looked out at it, said something about how pretty it was ... and refused to go out in it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc has started peeing on the floor and she also has glitter glue in her hair. So how's everyone else's day going?
