Any thoughts?
I'm not a fan of the red so I would black for path and brown for planted areas.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Fucking hell I had a woman trying to pick a fight with us over our mask policy we don't enforce. She was pissed we had one. She's pissed Wal Mart has one. She is a RN and she and the Drs she works with know his is no big deal. She is organizing a protest of Wal Mart....on and on.
And this morning we were told for our safety we cannot approach customers about our mask policy OR our no trying on policy.
I didn't approach that customer she kind of sought me out.
Oh and they are serious about employees wearing masks. Corporate is checking the security cameras to make sure and yesterday our store manager got a call about 3 employees that weren't in compliance.
The information we are given at the morning meeting is our verbal warning. If we are seen without a mask after tomorrow's meeting we will be written up and a second time is immediate termination.
Yikes, askye. About the woman.
I decided to go with red for the background and black for the path, Laura. All the trim on my house is red, so I think it might work. I ordered 5 bags of each to be delivered tomorrow, so if I hate it once I see it on the ground I can revise.
In more fun news, my sister and I saw the comet tonight. Clear mountain skies = visible comet. Woot! Next time I'll bring binoculars, but it still was obvious.
Hooray comet!
Oh, that's excellent. Skies being what they are around here (hazy seacoast) my chances are slim.
There are several reasons why I don't enjoy waking up unwillingly at 6AM, but one of them is that nothing is happening on the internet.
Sometimes nothing happening on the internet is a good thing. I have to confess that I have been venturing in less frequently.
Not such an early bird myself this morning because I was up late. Read until almost 2! Partly because 18 year old across the way had a late noisy birthday party. It was fun noise so I didn't mind, but I will tease him when I see him.
Sorry, Dana. I can't regret being asleep instead of entertaining you, though.
Timelies all, I'm celebrating my super uneventful birthday this year by first sleeping in (yay!), enjoying a nice leisurely cup of yummy cold brew coffee with oat creamer, and some chocolate banana oatmeal cookies. Currently over an hour in to a Zoom call with my Mom thanking her for the whole birth situation and planning for an impending visit. She's so sweet, sent a packaged Jamaican rum cake in the mail along with fancy sparkler candles so I can celebrate in style later. Oh, and remote Jackbox games online later this afternoon. I'd rather be at a F2F catching up with super cool people, but screens will do for now ;)
It has also been pointed out to me that Pix Patisserie (the super fancy top-notch dessert place in town) now has a 24 hour "Pix-o-Matic" dispensing machine of amazingness that might even be worth the drive. Or maybe I could bike? But it would be a super long bike ride and while the trip there would be lovely, the jouncing and bouncing on the return trip would not be good for a fancy delicate patisserie. OOOhhh, and they also a doing a temporary pop-up with "Meals 4 Heels" including what sounds like my ideal dinner: "GTP (GETTIN' THAT PAPER) – Tom kha roasted cauliflower, sweet potato noodles, pickled cucumbers, truffled tomatoes, mint, Thai basil, cilantro, honey saambal sauce, toasted coconut & veggie furikake." Assuming it's not already sold out for day, it being a Saturday and Portlanders loving their noms, I might be having a truly amazing dinner tonight. Yay!
