"General, the Zombies have overrun Houston and Dallas isn't far behind. The situation isn't much better in Florida and Arizona. Where is the President?"
"He's...he's...he's promoting beans."
I can't take much joy in knowing that so many of these Denialists are going to get sick sooner than later. Because they're going to take so many with them.
In totally sane employer news, my DIL has officially been told she will be WFH until the virus risk is gone or her maternity leave is done next spring, whichever comes first. Being pregnant puts her in a risk group so she can't go to the office. Period.
"The zombies are going to disappear. One day it's like a miracle, they will disappear."
It's like no one paid attention to "I Am Legend"
It's been a long time since I've seen it, but I kinda feel like Return of the Living Dead might have gotten some things right?
Remember how I quit my job? My last day was supposed to be next Saturday. But now it's apparently yesterday, since they told my boss at 1:30 that they're furloughing the entire department except him, one librarian, and the team that shelves the books, effective today at 6pm. In the middle of a pay period! With no previous hinting! Yiiiikes. Meeting at 4pm which not everyone can be at because some people were off today or working at other locations, so my poor boss has to call and tell them after.
Yiiiikes.
Yikes for sure, flea. At least you'd already emotionally prepared yourself?
Indeed!
Sounds like you made the right choice, and yikes!
