Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Worked from home, such as that was. Back to the lab tomorrow.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Someone pointed out the downside of Sessions losing - no more Kate McKinnon performances as him.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Toddson, just saw your earlier post about furniture. I also have problems with getting large items into my apartment. I had a good experience with Bassett, and it seems like they always have a good sale deal on something if you're willing to furnish gradually. (Right now, I'm at my Bassett office desk -- which I got for half price.)

Thanks! I've been saving for about 18 months, expecting to buy new furniture (my old dresser was from 1975), so I do have money available.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh. You may recall my aunt the RN had been furloughed because of her age (late 70s), then after she was home for a couple weeks they called her back to work because they were short of nurses at her hospital. Today, she is positive. Light symptoms, fevers, but her husband is even older than her with significant health issues.

She has been super careful, stripping outside and going immediately to the shower every work day. Still. Of course all the family are being tested now and she is isolating at home. Several of her kids and grandkids have had plenty of contact with her too.

DH is very upset. Mostly at her hospital for asking her to come back to work, knowing she wouldn't say no.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Mostly at her hospital for asking her to come back to work, knowing she wouldn't say no.

Rightly so considering her age and her husband's issues.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Laura. Hoping hard she is not hit too badly and doesn't spread it to anyone.

Y'all convinced me to make an appointment to give blood - there are not many open slots which is nice to see! I forgot my password to the system (I stopped donating after a series of attempts where either my iron was too low or just getting the needle in my vein was so difficult the nurse told me maybe I should find a different way to contribute) and the "reset your password" link never would send me an email with a link like it claimed it would so I eventually made a new account with my work email.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Friend in TX who teenage son tested positive weeks ago after joining in some team sport practice just posted pictures of her youngest daughter at Volleyball practice. not coach or players in masks. Indoors. ?!?!?!?!

Coding and Sleeping

In my right-wing twitter feed (totally passive, I never tweet) there are only anti-mask tweets and articles, not any pro-mask. Even if Trump and Fox News went full-in on masks now I don't think it would convince people. Once people have decided on something it's so hard to change minds.

This is the mostly super right-wing branch of the family. I know that my aunt was serious with her precautions as a nurse for 50 years. I am not as confident about her children and grandchildren. I have to wonder if one of them brought it to her. They are all being tested now.

Her grandson, who lives across the street, is a boat captain who is out and about every day with many people on charter fishing trips and such.
