I don't fancy spending the next month trying to get librarian out of the carpet.

Our wings are not tired.

Also yay for getting the forms, askye!

My son & DIL are too cute. Their formal FB announcement of the pregnancy features a Tesla onesie.

Thrive to spite them

Happy Birthday!

So I've run into another snag. I can't remember my PIN or my AGI so I can't file, I guess I can try to get my printer working and print everything.

My google drive kept getting full and I couldn't get email so I deleted almost all my email and it turns out I deleted my stuff related to my taxes. I can't remember what service I used last year since I did that in a panic and I can't find my copies of my tax return.

However I made back ups of everythig nad put it on an external drive and then apparently downloaded that to my computer or something becuase I can find 8 copies of my 2008 returns

Happy birthday, Zenkitty!

I finally got all the pieces of my new sit-stand desk on Friday evening. I started assembling it yesterday afternoon and it took me about three hours, although things were easier after I ransacked my junk drawer and found the one hex wrench I own. I had to search product manual archives for PDFs to understand how the desk actually went together since it didn't come with instructions beyond a vague diagram. The instructions I did find were not in logical order, so I had to disassemble multiple times. After a lot of sweat, aggravation, and a lurid bruise on my arm, I finally have an office chair and a sit-stand desk. My kitchen table now can be used for its intended purpose! I'm standing at my desk right now AIFG!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I went and got myself sent home from work today.

My allergies have been breaking through my meds and I've been super fatigued. And the bf mentioned I napped a ton over the weekend.

Out of an abundance of caution, I booked the earliest Covid screen that I could. It's tomorrow afternoon.

Since I'm not totally asymptomatic, I'm out until I have a negative test.

Through no fault of my own, I am making my veterinarian work and have hard conversations. Today he mostly was laughing at me apart from the concern about testing. "Any other person says this to you and what is your response?" "I'd tell them to go home and wait for results. Look, I'm not saying you're wrong. You're absolutely right. I just don't like it and I feel bad about being out."

I adulted SO HARD today. I renewed by car registration, paid my car tax, and paid my bar dues. What I did not do is my taxes, so my accountant will have to file an extension because I am a terrible procrastinator. And I have the nerve to ask him to do this on the 15th. I suck.

Go adulting all of you!! Do the thing!

Yay shrift! That sounds like a PITA process but yay end result!!

I took a walk with a friend round the island-park along the water. Masked the whole way. But now I have a blister! Oops. I definitely need new shoes, but mine are so old at this point I can't just reorder them, so I have to either buy multiple pairs and return, from somewhere, or try on in store, which doesn't feel great. Argh.

Rather than a stationary trap I've opted for the electric chairraquet option for mosquitoes. Tomorrow I need to remember to buy batteries and I'll be ready to start zapping.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I shop all the time, as you know, but I don't shop for things that you try on, which is a whole different kettle of fish.

OTOH, shoes should get nowhere near your face, unlike say something that you have to pull over your head, like a shirt. Me, I'm really jonesing for some new sneakers. I pulled some Dr Scholls out of an old pair and put them into my current running-down-at-the-heels pair and it's helping my poor sore little soles.

Cass, you are doing the RIGHT thing, both for you and for all the others including your coworkers. Keeping all of my digits crossed here.

Our wings are not tired.

I know it sucks, but we do all have to do the right thing. Good girl. Also, even when you know you are negative it feels good to get confirmation.

I adulted SO HARD today.

Good girl! I am finishing my taxes today. Whatever, I was busy.

I somehow managed to screw up my work computer yesterday. No idea how I managed it. I had to ask my datacenter to restore my previous day backup. Well, that is what backups are for. The only thing I can't seem to get to work this morning is my email. I can get it directly from my server, but my mail client isn't working right. Bother.
