'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I shop all the time, as you know, but I don't shop for things that you try on, which is a whole different kettle of fish.

OTOH, shoes should get nowhere near your face, unlike say something that you have to pull over your head, like a shirt. Me, I'm really jonesing for some new sneakers. I pulled some Dr Scholls out of an old pair and put them into my current running-down-at-the-heels pair and it's helping my poor sore little soles.

Cass, you are doing the RIGHT thing, both for you and for all the others including your coworkers. Keeping all of my digits crossed here.

Our wings are not tired.

I went and got myself sent home from work today.

I know it sucks, but we do all have to do the right thing. Good girl. Also, even when you know you are negative it feels good to get confirmation.

I adulted SO HARD today.

Good girl! I am finishing my taxes today. Whatever, I was busy.

I somehow managed to screw up my work computer yesterday. No idea how I managed it. I had to ask my datacenter to restore my previous day backup. Well, that is what backups are for. The only thing I can't seem to get to work this morning is my email. I can get it directly from my server, but my mail client isn't working right. Bother.

Thrive to spite them

Adulting is so hard.

Couldn't find my tax returns from last year. Couldn't get the printer to work. Matthew got it working with the network but only blank pages print. So he is going to go to his brother's (they got back from Myrtle Beach abot 4 days ago & don't wear masks but they are the only ppl we could find with a working printer) and print everything out. Get a money order for my NC taxes and get it all mailed.

Because we do have issues but when I need help he is there and I don't know what I'd be doing right now if he weren't helping. Possibly calling out of work and having an anxiety attack today trying to get everything done.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hang in there, askye. Adulting is indeed hard.

It's just occurred to me to wonder if people dying from COVID after going to parties or rallies or whatnot are getting their life insurance paid out.

Our wings are not tired.

-t, most likely because not technically suicide, and their beneficiaries won't get punished for the policy holder being an idiot. Not listed on the enrollment questionnaire like skydiving.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The Red Cross says I do not have COVID antibodies, which I think is good, all things considered -- like, I never thought I had it, so never made a point to stay away from people like my mother. Although of course I've been generally staying away from everyone else.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'll be ready to start zapping.

The zapping is truly satisfying.

The Red Cross says I do not have COVID antibodies

Me, too! A benefit of platelet donation is the free test.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Same for whole blood.

I wonder, Laura. IME they are almost as inclined to find ways to not pay out as medical insurance.
