Everyone here is masked for the most part. The internet service guy came to the house today to give me a new modem. The 3 of us here and service dude chatted about 45 minutes while he did his thing. All of us were masked, and no surprise, we all could breathe just fine.

Based on what Shir said about Israel, and the NYT story today, I am less convinced that schools can be reopened safely. The Times story said middle-schoolers were the worst carriers/spreaders.

After 7 months my brother and I have finally gotten it worked out to where I can access the money in the 529 College Savings Account he set up, in his name, for Mac.
So tonight I call to get the first withdrawal. I get through all the questions and am about to give the guy on the phone the $ amount and he says "so this can only go to a school, your brother's bank account, or in a check to your brother."
HEAD DESK. The whole point of me being given access was so I could get the money to myself, the person paying the bills.

My co-workers all sang Happy Birthday to me over Zoom. It was so nice. My boss signed off with "Keep being awesome!" I like working there. I feel appreciated.
