I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

sj!

I'm well. It's been a weird time but things are overall good. Too interesting but overall good.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

FWIW, there was a salon in Texas (I think) where two of the stylists were positive and handled more than 140 customers in a week, and there was no transmission to any of the customers.

That was Springfield, Missouri.

Well, I fought it for 4 months but my nocturnal nature has taken over. I've been falling asleep around 4am which would be fine except the cats still want to be fed around 7:30.

I suggest that we put Pix on the day shift and Atropa on the night shift (vampires, sunshine ... not a good mix). Shared authority, with minions taking whichever shift suits their biorhythms.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I watched a video/talk with Sharon Salzberg and meditated for the first time in a while, and it was definitely a good choice for me today.

Especially as the kitchen spider has migrated to the ceiling and is not doing a great job staying on the ceiling. I may have shrieked when it was dangling wildly over my lunch on the stove. (It did not fall into my lunch at this time.)

Bad spider! Respect shrift's boundaries!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We have switched to the topical gel for Nova's meds, and it seems to be a lot easier. For one thing, we don't need two people to dose her, and no teeth are involved.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(It did not fall into my lunch at this time.)

Phew.

That sounds like a great improvement, Sheryl! Cool

Good news! spider-free lunch and tooth-free medication!

I'm in the office and earlier I was at my desk and heard a "thump" ... when I checked it out, it was from a ceiling tile in one of the offices that had fallen. Fallen because it was saturated with water AND there was a big blister under the paint on the wall by it (full of water I assume) AND water stains on the non-tile ceiling. I got building maintenance on it ASAP, so the tile's been replaced, the blister seems to be shrinking and - I hope - no more water is leaking (they originally said it was from rain we had three days ago, but then one of the maintenance guys came through looking for a valve to shut off the water above our offices).
