I'm too afraid to do anything, even though things are currently reopened. People are going back to restaurants, and I'm just at the point when I'm willing to order delivery and see some people outside with masks on.

I'm still pretty nervous about being in the salon, though. I just need to call them and see what safety procedures they're following, and that might make me feel better about it.
FWIW, there was a salon in Texas (I think) where two of the stylists were positive and handled more than 140 customers in a week, and there was no transmission to any of the customers.
They were all masked up and taking other precautions seriously there, but I don't think a salon is particularly risky. Especially if you're just getting a cut which doesn't take that long to do.
If you're really hinky about it just skip the shampoo. The cut alone will only take 10-15 minutes.
I think the fact that you're not face to face helps a lot in that situation.
I don't know about other parts of the country, but I felt extremely safe at my salon. They were distanced, lots of open windows, all masks and full sanitation between clients.
I've didn't do hair salon, but I've been to the nail salon a couple times and felt safe. Good distancing, gloves, masks.
I decided to try to rent the time share for this summer. If it doesn't rent by the week before, we may reconsider going. Thanks for letting me talk it out here.
I'm definitely not getting my hair cut yet, nor going to the dentist...

That is all rational and reasonable. I just have the jitters a bit.
I'm having a rotten anxiety day.
Boo. My anxiety also has been, uh, not great? Brain weasels suck.
In other news, I was planning on making a phone call about the desk I ordered, and someone ended up calling ME today to arrange delivery for the top part of the desk that I'm missing. I mean, I still have to assemble a sit-stand desk with INCREDIBLY minimal instructions once it arrives, but that's an onerous task for Future Me.
My anxiety has been through the roof, even with my good daily meds. Today a relatively minor incident sent me into a full blown panic attack, and I ended up having to take a Xanax, which I rarely use, and a nap to be functional again. I'm really trying to be kind to myself, but when I'm anxious, I also am impulsive and have a tendency to make things worse for myself. Brain weasels are having a lot of fun with me lately.
I just made a hair appointment for this weekend, but now I'm wondering if I should wait a couple more weeks, because I assume after the students get back in August, everything will shut back down again pretty quickly. Because students are idiots.
