For starters, he's too late to get on the ballot as an independent in a bunch of states.
I don't really see this discouraging him, since it's, you know, reality.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I would like to announce my candidacy for Queen of Fucking About.
I would like to announce my candidacy for Queen of Fucking About.
You have my vote.
I announced my candidacy for Vampire Witch Queen years ago, so I'm ahead of the curve for announcing on social media?
I don't know, Pix, are you going to interfere with my Sovereign Right to Fuck About Independently?
I love you all.

I feel like inherent to being Vampire Witch Queen is that you just claim the position. No democracy involved whatsoever.
It'd be wise to get Guillermo on your side.
Nah, he just needs to recognize and fall in line.
I am taken aback. But for Atropa I can see that working.
Ooh -t's right, you know.
Sigh, AmyP, it's not just parental units. H is out mending the shed roof across the street. When he peeled back the shingles, what was going to be a quick peel and patch turned into an "Oh dear, the sheathing didn't wrap the edge, water got in and now the rafter is half rotted away. And the wet seeped, and the next two rafters are affected as well." Which is going to require removing at least half the shingling and sheathing, and since he's "not up to" totally removing and replacing the entire roof, cutting and scraping out the rot, treating the timbers and sistering in pressure treated beams, sheathing correctly this time, and reshingling that half of the roof.
This was supposed to be a two-afternoon favor for a friend. We're gonna have lemon meringue pie, bottles of Jameson and cab merlot and chocolate chip cookies for *weeks*, because H can't walk away from either a commitment or a challenge.
ETA: What whips my chicken is the shed and install were a professional job. I can see why neighbor doesn't trust them to mend the job they did badly to start with. But it does seem they should be held accountable some way.
