Our district has said that they are considering several options and will let us know once a decision has been made. In other words, they don't have a fucking clue yet but want parents to feel like they're working on it.
The thing I keep saying is that we could have had schools reopen, but it would have had to have been the priority. Instead, we chose restaurants, beaches, and bars. Choices have consequences, so enjoy that dine-in experience.
YUP. Given the choice, I'd have happily gone without a haircut for another year if it meant investing in a way to provide safe childcare and schools.
I just remembered tomorrow is a work holiday! HOORAY!
We're having a county spike, and the Director announced we will REQUIRE masks from customers coming inside as of Monday. YAY. (The city is taking up a city-wide mandate at a meeting tomorrow; Dayton, also spiking, did it yesterday.)
Also it is 84 degrees in my office is there any wonder I am quitting.

Steph:
(1) Yes, but (2) No, and I am so, so happy that I know it now.
Steph I knew #1 but not #2!
Also I feel so bad for folks with kids. Just no good answers.
Early dismissal today means stopping work at 10:30 (I start at 8) was totally fair, right?

SAME
Yes, meara. I'm not sure how to justify that but I feel quite sure.
No email about early dismissal today, but I am clearly not giving my full attention to work.
