My plan for this week was to go to Mom's for several days since they had been quarantining for months as have we, but then a couple week ago Mom and Stepdad started being bolder in their behavior. So, we're not going. I'm annoyed. I was hoping I could start having them come here a little to help out with ltc because TCG is going to have to start working in the office more, and I'm just really exhausted. On the plus side, TCG is taking this entire week out of work. So, hopefully I can rest a little this week and figure out what I'm going to do to keep ltc occupied for the rest of the summer. I miss my village.

Yikes, just found out that a friend (formerly with benefits) had his house in foreclosure and potentially going up for auction in a couple weeks. He's had a rough couple of years, what with losing his partner, business troubles, and now the pandemic that's probably sunk his side hustle.

In addition to the 2 SCOTUS picks there are also the 200 additional judicial appointments, many of them completely unqualified. Is there any group/discussion/effort to do something about impeaching some of these picks WHEN sane people have control of the Senate again?

I'm seeing traffic almost back to normal around here, grocery isn't back to capacity but about 20% of people are not wearing masks or not wearing them properly. I believe I will go back to ordering grocery delivery. For the foreseeable future I'm staying at home and only going in to the office for three hours once a week to open the store, which involves packing up online orders and handing them out the door to patrons. I can handle that. I am really lucky to have this option.

I don't like to doomsay or make predictions, but this is going to get much worse. The virus is not going away anytime soon, not in the US anyway, and the bloated orange tick is going to create as much chaos and destruction as he can in the time he has left, because that's what he does.

I have never, ever felt like this about a POTUS, not even W., who is a fucking war criminal who I loathed with the fire of 1,000 suns.
