You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Oh, msbelle, soooooooo much drama!

I'm sorry, Sheryl.

Our wings are not tired.

Thank you, amyparker for the info for Connie.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am at a school of nursing that already does a lot of online education (not virtual- true, thought out online education), but the newest nurses still really need to do labs and clinical. So we are doing all of our lecture type content online and figureing out how to do labs with masks and face sheilds and everything. They are back at clinical right now seeing patients, again with PPE.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

amyparker, you did a good thing for connie and whoever may be looking for her as part of their family.

...nope. Still have a visual image of cartoon me fleeing from genetic testing. I'd have had a pleasant, quiet life had it not been for family, fore and aft. Don't want more.

Same, but because it's the one tinhat conspiracy theory I actually entertain: I worry the data will be sold to whatever company dangles enough money in front of the testing companies. In other words, I watched the movie Gattica and went, "Yep, that's pretty plausible".

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, everything about this new wide-spread genetic testing creeps me out.

Our wings are not tired.

That reminds me that we need to do my MIL's genetic stuff. She was adopted when she was 2 and never has found her family. She is 76, so parents are unlikely, but she would love to know if she has any siblings out there.

While I appreciate the privacy concerns and would never say "everyone should do this", I wanted to be able to tell my grandmother what had happened to her father before she died, and this was the only way to confirm it.

Now I will eat my lunch before it gets cold.

Which totally makes sense! And I know some really good things for people that have come out of genetic testing! But it's the one tinhat conspiracy that gets room in my brain.

Same, Atropa. It's totally Gattaca, not real-people family stuff.
