Atropa, did you and your fella used to be Wizards of the Coast people? Or am I thinking of someone else?
We are ex WotC people. We never would have met if not for them! So yeah, it's been interesting (and not entirely surprising) to see the whisper network finally get amplified.
The news broke about someone we worked with (and I gamed thanks to my LARPing past), and while I knew he was a shallow man-baby who felt entitled to women's attention, I didn't realize the depths of his awfulness.
That sucks, shrift.
As does the new #metoo news, albeit differently.
I got to spend some time with amyth yesterday. Treatment's rough, but she's pushing forward.
Mmeara, as far as DYI astroturfing goes, in my experience leveling ground is an enormous PITA that it is worth paying someone with experience to do. It may be worth considering that I have always lived places with big subsidence problems, maybe it is not such an annoying chore everywhere.
...amyth....Treatment's rough, but she's pushing forward.
Good to hear. Thanks for the update.
I need to send amyth a card - Calli you have her info? can you email it to me?
Thank you for the amyth update. I've been meaning to ask how she's doing.
Just learned that the hybrid model school re-opening plans my school worked super hard on are not compatible with new government guidelines in Sao Paulo, and I will be teaching remotely for at least another month. Super bummed.
I think my evening activity is going to be to hang black-out curtains over the front windows. Bailey barking at every movement is getting OLD fast. I have the curtain rods and curtains, so should not take too long.- just a step stool or short ladder and the drill and moving a few pieces of furniture.
I had solar panels installed on my roof this morning. Took, like, a total of two hours to install the panels and the electrical connections. No green energy yet, because inspections still need to be done and then the electric company has to install a new meter, but I'm feeling very psyched as the hottest part of the summer approaches.
