Because books.

flea, I wish you luck with the decision. Like Calli said, work is such a huge chunk of life, it really colors everything when it's infuriating every day.

Well into my second hour on the phone with IT support. This is so difficult.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

How are you doing, Amy?

Yikes, that's a long time on the phone! Is it on hold or actually having to do stuff??

Flea, good luck. No helpful advice.

I cannot log into the network. My card appears to be corrupted, although I can get into webmail on it. Just not into the network as a whole.

Which means, since I didn't plan for being locked out, I have none of my files to work on.

Might be time for a nap, and maybe some baking.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Naps are great. I just took one. Highly recommended and would do again!

Nap and baking is an excellent plan! Yay naps!

Oh my god I just remembered that I bought popsicles last week. They should still be untouched in my freezer. This is a very exciting development in my day.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JUST SO MUCH TO BGARK AT.

So much Bgarking! Which is how I will think of the specialized barking reserved for the fixit people who have to come to the house.

I'm mostly okay, -t! A little tired -- I've been working the 5:30 am shift during the week because one of our people is out. We're going to inside dining at 50% capacity on Friday (which means, for us, like three tables), and that's ... what it is, I guess.

I don't have a lot of energy for much right now, although I did cave and get Disney+, so I'm watching fun stuff.

In other news, I just found out from my company's owner that the program I've worked on for the bulk of the past, oh, 15 years has received a 100% score across all domains and benchmarks by the Texas Adoption Review Committee, and has been recommended for adoption by Texas preschools!
