Our wings are not tired.

DH convinced me that I didn't want to share my car for 3 solid days with my son & gf, so I am flying them up. She's never flown! So she is pretty excited about that part, and nervous of course. So at the end of each long driving day I can dine, swim, and chill alone, which will surely be more relaxing.

Sad news today that DH's brother's MIL is in the hospital with Covid. She is elderly with various issues, but apparently is doing okay. Bro and his wife (an RN) have been tested and are awaiting results. Still, please send a good thought for Mary. She is a truly sweet person, who barely speaks English, and makes us the most yummy Haitian food and caters to us on holidays. She always has a smile and hug for me and nods like she can actually understand me, although I know she doesn't, but she knows I am saying something nice to her, always.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Go msbelle! Finding a valve to open that makes the dishwasher actually run is A+ homeowning!

That sounds like a better plan for the trip, Laura. Health~ma for Mary

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Best thoughts for Mary, Laura.

I was all ready to pull it out and watch youtube videos to try and figure out the issue and I started tracing the tunes I could see underneath it to see where they go and LOW AND BEHOLD - a water line to under the sink had a SHUIT VALVE.

Impressive!!

I did the fucking taxes! Per usual, it took less than an hour, and only that long because I had to re-type my W-2 twice. This is what happens when you have one source of income and no assets.

Oh, you know what's sad? I returned this dress to Target because it was way too short for me. So cute, though! [link]

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So cute, though!

Bummer! That is cute.

We still love a pink gingham.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am only keeping track of the Tulsa rally by what crosses my Twitter timeline, but so far:

  • There were outdoor speeches by Trump and Pence that were canceled due to lower-than-expected attendance.
  • There is a smaller crowd inside than expected.
  • It's possible we have K-pop fans to thank for requesting so many tickets.

The K-pop fans are really killing it.

That dress is very cute! Too bad it didn't work for you.

Hooray, K-pop fans!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

There is a smaller crowd inside than expected.

At least they can social distance.
