Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I haven't slept well in like a week and today it's all catching up with me.

I fell asleep on the couch last night, woke and closed up the house around 5 and hiked the dog because she's stressing and if she stands by the front door, we hike. Slept a couple of hours after. I'm useless today.

On advice from my med doctor, I have added 3 mg melatonin to my bedtime drugs. This is to help me sleep through the night(I've been waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning every day for a while) We'll see how this goes.

My former really awesome PA told me that melatonin helps. Not so much with getting to sleep if you have troubles but it can improve the sleep you get. Also gives me weird dreams pretty frequently so I go back and forth.

I am not bringing His Majesty breakfast in bed.

We have stands we make and then break. I get it for pets.

Our wings are not tired.

TJs has had lines every time I drove by so didn't happen. Really I haven't been out often. That is about to change. Going to son's house for Father's Day dinner. Then Tuesday or Wednesday going to head to NY with son, GF, and two cats. Have a jug of hand sanitizer for car and plenty of masks. It will take me 3 days because of the charging time. We're going to listen to The Leviathan Chronicles on the way up. Should pass the time. [link]

Cats are still optional. Likely last moment decision. Over the weekend we'll go for an hour drive as a test.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

How do you feel about the son and GF situation in all of that, Laura??

Our wings are not tired.

I have about 87 conflicting feelings about it, but trying to get him on a better track and she might be an ally. It's complicated.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Even at the beach take-out place I went to for lunch, they wouldn't let someone approach the window with no mask, but hardly anyone had one on on the beach or the street. But there was good distancing and good breezes??

When I rode down to the seawall last weekend there were tons of people, and the seaside take-out place where I turned around to head back had a long line with no distancing and very few people wearing masks. I don't think I'll be going again.

Well, good luck. Hoping for the best!

Ugh. I'm grateful Mom and Stepdad are avoiding the beach and their friends that are going to the beach.

Thrive to spite them

there were over 1000 cases of covid 19 reported in SC today, yesterday , something lke that.

one of my co workers was like "it's just more testing" and I had been trying to argue that it's not just more testing and Iv'e finally hit on this -yes they are testing more people and finding more people who are sick - so this means that things are worse in SC than we thought. Which seems to penetrate that "it's more testing" doesn't mean the numbers are no big deal

I have really fallen down on cleaning the touch pad and work station but I have to be super careful because the cleaner we have no has bleach in it (the previous one didn't) and I have accidentally gotten it on 2 pieces of clothes.

I haven't felt well lately I seem to be starting the same GI problems I had a year ago. and I feel kind of feverish but I don't have a fever and my throat hurts some days and not others. And I'm tired a lot.

which part of my brain is like- you have covid 19! you infected Mom! you have to go get tested , you have to be safer! but nothing is enough to warrant even calling a doctor. And my doctor is in NC not SC, but I guess I should call the doctor at some point, maybe Monday if I'm still feeling bad.

because a lot of these symptoms I can chalk up to getting over heated, not sleeping well, caffiene withdraw, or a combination.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's exactly it, askye.

To reassure yourself, start taking your temperature a couple times a day, and if you have a pulse oximeter available, get a baseline on your oxygenation. Those are both likely to be normal, which will be reassuring.

signed, has actually been explicitly exposed a couple times now that she knows about for sure.

(I actually gave another ride for one of the residents to get tested this week, and he came out negative, after having tested oositive the week before -- his doctor thinks it's a false positive based on his having had the virus last month AND lack of symptoms now. But he's not going to get the all-clear until yet another test comes back negative.)

I have to get a plus oximeter. They take our temps at work before we start and mine is usually 96ish but has been creeping up aroun d97 or 98
