Clearly I just need all my spinster friends in one place, jeez. Can you get here by Wednesday night jesse? :)

I wish! (Although I do like my family Thanksgiving, so getting back by Thursday midday would be kind of a lot.)
The Banza brand chickpea Mac and cheese is actually really yummy if you're gluten free. I bought it because I wanted ltc to have something with protein when she is being picky.
I've wondered about chickpea pasta! I'll have to try that.
It's a kraft style box with cheese powder. We made it for lunch because I'm out of bread and not buying any for a day and a half before vacation.
Still cleaning the kitchen and putting things back. Five rodents dead in traps, and the cats finally got in on the action. Someone left part of a mouse in the living room, and I say Sophie has mouse breath because she keeps sniffing that spot. Well done, mighty huntress!
Unsure about my Thanksgiving plans. Dad is tired and debilitated and Stepmother wants the kids to stay away until she summons us. I'm glad she is devoted to Dad, but it sure would be nice if she would step back sometimes. We just want to see him, not have a big dinner and stay all day.
It would probably be rude if I pointed out that he's been my Dad much longer than he's been her husband. This one is my second Evil Stepmother, and she is a real pain in my patoot with her controlling and excluding. So sorry you can't have too many people in your house. Everyone understands how you don't like to share your goodies with some other bitch's ugly children. How fortunate for her we are all independent adults and she has little responsibility for us.

Dangit, where'd those transporter beam plans go? I swear we were supposed to have those by now, it's 2018!
Turns out that 1120 is the new 420 in MA! (We finally have legal MJ sales -- all of two shops open for business.)
I may be in need of some stress-relieving -- roommate is going in for her long-delayed heart valve replacement on the 30th, which has kept being put off for what strikes me as bogus reasons. The latest is a cath ultrasoundy-thingie, which was cancelled when she was about to go under because the resident discovered that one had been done back in August. Well, yeah, it should have said so right on her chart.
The original operation was supposed to have been done in July.
DH just got home with my groceries so I shall commence the cooking! I figure to do as much in advance as possible. Also, bless him, he bought TJs frozen mashed potatoes so I don't have to peel them. Woo!
I'm sure the stress level has to be super high for you and roommate. It isn't just the operation itself but so many other things that get off kilter when they change the date. Ugh.
A tale of two children, midterm grades edition: Child A: Three As (two of them are in Art and Gym), one B, and three Ds. Child B: Six As.
Sigh.
