'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Somebody talk me off the ledge, because I'm teetering on the brink of going all Mommy Dearest beating with a clothes hanger on my roommate because for the second fucking time she's managed to LOSE THE CAT FOOD SCOOP. Which all you have to DO is scoop out the cat food from the container then put it back in.

That's all you have to do. Scoop, scoop (they get fed in separate bowls strategically separated across the kitchen), put the scoop back in the container, put the containers back on the shelf so the smart cat (Spare Cat) can't decide to nudge it off the counter and spill it all over the floor.

She managed the last part -- the roommate that is -- and put the containers back. But the scoop is MIA. I checked everywhere but the refrigerator and refrained from spreading out the contents of the garbage can.

Need I repeat this is the second goddamn time?

sigh

Our wings are not tired.

Trump supporters should be required to wear visible evidence all the time. I'd find it super helpful.

Our wings are not tired.

Find the scoop and then throttle the roommate with it.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Our niece has gone full Trump/no mask wearing/ all lives matter and posts on a FB all day. The problem is that she's also bipolar and has some other emotional issues, so I don't think I should get into it with her. It's driving me nuts, though. I mean, she posted a CANDACE OWENS video.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Happy belated birthday, askye!

Puppy!!

David, I am so sorry about Matilda's school. This is hell. I hope luck and/or a good solution will strike soon.

And oh, Zen. Poor Percy Shelley. Much~ma there.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Poor Percy Shelley has gotten used to having tuna brought to him (with his medicine in it). Today we are done with medicine and out of tuna, and he's sulking and refusing to come downstairs and eat his boring ordinary breakfast. I am not bringing His Majesty breakfast in bed.

Probably.

I might put on pants and go get tuna.

I don't know HOW this cat got so spoiled. Who did that

I'm trying to get Batcat, who is a Neurotic Cat, to try Valerian (vet recommended it. Poor thing is so stressed most of the time). She really dislikes the taste but was so much calmer after I managed to get some into her (she would not take it in her food, I put some on her leg. About half of it was spread all over stuff she sat on, but she licked the part that stayed on her fur. Eventually).

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I don't know HOW this cat got so spoiled. Who did that

Does he know about the existence of plug-in heated cat beds? Because Murderbiscuit, who is in no way spoiled (he says, while demanding the special treats he only gets at bedtime), highly recommends them for winter.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Back when I was very young, we had a cat - Marshmallow - who was, as you might imagine, white. One parent was a long-hair and she had the Persian bone structure and long hair, but it didn't fluff - looked short but the individual hairs were long. One summer we went for our two weeks at the beach and had to board her, rather than having a neighbor come in to feed her. On our return, we went to pick her up. The woman who ran the place was holding the cat on her lap and using a baby spoon to feed her chopped chicken livers. Seemingly, she'd gone on a hunger strike and this was the only way the woman could get the cat to eat anything. Spoiled ... she turned her nose up at canned food unless it was mixed with chicken livers, cooked specifically for her.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"Spoiled" or "finally being treated properly"?

I am not into being awake today.
