And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

A wise precaution Dana.

Oh, here's a little thing that made me smile today: the Perkins Library for the Blind sent one of our sight-impaired residents new books on tape, the first since March!

Not a huge milestone, but one that really does mean a whole lot for the recipients!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

That is awesome, Theo!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that is good, Theo! Man, my grandmother relied on those talking books for a while.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

TFW you find out the NextDoor poster using dog-whistle language might be just a couple doors down from you. I have a funny feeling I am in a little pocket of Republican houses here in this neighborhood.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh no, msbelle. Best of luck with that.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh, I'm sorry msbelle. I hope you are mistaken.

Went out to dinner in a restaurant tonight! It was fine. Outdoor seating, very well spaced, all wait staff masked. We went to see the house my son & wife bought. So excited for them. They are staying there tonight, but don't actually move all their stuff in until this weekend. While we were at the house 3 of the neighbors came over and introduced themselves! Kids, including teens, playing ball in the street together. It was very sweet.

Herding cats for fun

Oh no! Say you are not surrounded by Republicans! No one wants to listen to the hostile language.

Fortunately all the neighbors that stopped to say hi kept their distance. It seems to be a sit out in the front yard and chat with passers-by kind of neighborhood. The next door neighbor let us know her mother was 3 doors down, her friend who brought her to the area around the block, and 2 more cousins lived in the development. She was Hispanic. My DIL is half Cuban. Lots of young people, and driving out I noticed a Black Lives Matter bumper sticker. There was an Indian couple (her very pregnant) out walking too, so I'm thinking a generally diverse pocket in a generally Red county. It seems as the push north from very expensive Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach areas into this county has tilted the political environment somewhat.

That sounds very nice, Laura!
