Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had to walk out of a meeting earlier when the storms came here, to see about closing windows. It was crazy!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I was at the grocery store. I waited in my car for ten minutes for the storm to pass before I ran in, and then when I was on my way out it was coming down in buckets again.

The good news is, we can offer masks! We can also tell customers we will not come closer than 6 feet to them if they are not wearing a mask.

The bad news is, so far Wednesday is the only day this week I have not almost quit my job in rage.

I have determined that while I enjoy aztec-style cocoa, with cayenne added, I do not enjoy "Mayan stout" where they are added to beer.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I keep turning up the volume on my headphones because Husband is talking about protests and BLM with his father.

Oh, here's a little thing that made me smile today: the Perkins Library for the Blind sent one of our sight-impaired residents new books on tape, the first since March!

Not a huge milestone, but one that really does mean a whole lot for the recipients!

Ooh, that is good, Theo! Man, my grandmother relied on those talking books for a while.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

TFW you find out the NextDoor poster using dog-whistle language might be just a couple doors down from you. I have a funny feeling I am in a little pocket of Republican houses here in this neighborhood.
