I am so happy that I have only one standing meeting each week. I am actually shocked that my direct boss has not requested a weekly one on one, but she has not, so I am not going to mention it.
Yeah the house work can be done any day, so who cares when I do it.
In work breaks today:
- set up zelle and pay gate/garage door guy
- find empty plastic tub for winter stuff
- load of laundry
If I get that done and my work than I'll start on other things.
I'm attempting to show ltc the CNN/Sesame Street town hall on racism. It's very talky and a little over her head at this age.
That is still a lot of meetings, Jesse. I have one today that is just a presentation i passively receive and I kinda resent it.
Feel much better today, but I plan on getting tested tomorrow regardless since I have the appointment.
My niece told me I really must watch Queer Eye because it is awesome. I was so surprised! I thought such a thing was not in the wheelhouse for someone with so much religion. I'm gonna catch an episode so I can ask her about it.
Speaking as both a manager and manager, I highly recommend a weekly or bi-weekly one on one with your manager.
My meeting schedule tends to be like Jesse's. I don't have a ton of dual or triple booked today but I have them booked solidly from 1230 - 530 today. Better go make my lunch now!
I spent this weekend playing Animal Crossing, watching Queer Eye, and cooking. I made asparagus bacon and goat cheese omelettes, baked rigatoni, a batch of Thai green curry chicken, brownies, and a big batch of breakfast burritos.
The brownies turned out much better than my previous attempt and I ate them warm with vanilla ice cream.
I should have peaches coming today, so peach cobbler is in my future.
...and I missed the presentation. Oh well.
I have a monthly one on one with my manager, which seems fine. I can drop in on her (or call her, these days) any time as needed; having the one scheduled meeting on the calendar regardless is a good thing, though, as we both get busy and forget to touch base otherwise
Brownies! With ice cream! I miss ice cream; the little grocery I've been doing most of my shopping at has a crappy freezer and the ice cream is mostly freezer-burned so I stopped getting any there.
Planning to go to TJs tonight on the way to dog class because the one in Lafayette is usually pretty quiet. I will bring an insulated bag and ice to keep things cool during class. So excited, my first TJs run in 3 months.
Oh, hey, I know that TJ's!
I was watching something streaming yesterday that had ads and all of them seemed to mention fudge. Is there a pro-fudge conspiracy out there? I guess I"m not exactly against that.
I keep getting Trump's new ad here (PA) and it makes me throw up in my mouth a little every time.
