I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

...and I missed the presentation. Oh well.

I have a monthly one on one with my manager, which seems fine. I can drop in on her (or call her, these days) any time as needed; having the one scheduled meeting on the calendar regardless is a good thing, though, as we both get busy and forget to touch base otherwise

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Brownies! With ice cream! I miss ice cream; the little grocery I've been doing most of my shopping at has a crappy freezer and the ice cream is mostly freezer-burned so I stopped getting any there.

Planning to go to TJs tonight on the way to dog class because the one in Lafayette is usually pretty quiet. I will bring an insulated bag and ice to keep things cool during class. So excited, my first TJs run in 3 months.

Oh, hey, I know that TJ's!

I was watching something streaming yesterday that had ads and all of them seemed to mention fudge. Is there a pro-fudge conspiracy out there? I guess I"m not exactly against that.

Because books.

I keep getting Trump's new ad here (PA) and it makes me throw up in my mouth a little every time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

All I want to eat is ice cream. So I got some yogurt (in addition to ice cream) to try to modulate that some...

I'm attempting to show ltc the CNN/Sesame Street town hall on racism. It's very talky and a little over her head at this age.

Yeah, my other friend's four-year-old gave it five minutes and then asked for regular Sesame Street....

Speaking as both a manager and manager, I highly recommend a weekly or bi-weekly one on one with your manager.

Agreed! I don't mind meetings all day, mostly, although Zooms all day is wearing. As long as I can have lunch, which I did -- including 10 minutes in the hammock! All is well.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Today is the kind of day where you discover that the nurse practitioner who seemed to be the only one at urgent care that could competently treat your migraine has moved. TO SKAGWAY ALASKA.

Oh, I'm sorry, Dana

Hey. New board.

Two more conferences, then a goodbye meeting for our department head, then a meeting to discuss my classes next year as we plan for weird schedules, then freedom.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am getting the construction company the deposit to do my gate and garage door work.

I bought the airline tickets to go get Miley, the dog, from Texas (going and coming back same day - not leaving the airport) on Monday 6/22. Fares were cheaper and I figure fewer people going on a Monday.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another early awakening from Nova and Mr. S.(although he at least waiting until our alarm went off) Went to work.
