Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Dana!
We're going to have to wrap Nova in a towel to pill her. I got scratched up a bit this morning when we gave her her pill. Gary was holding her, so he got a bit scratched too.
As someone who still eats raw carob chips as a snack, I feel qualified to declare Valente is, once again, full of it.
Everything on my work to do list is done!
I'd better get logged off as fast as possible before something else comes up...
Step away from the email.
Summer session starts on Monday. One of my soon to be students has already sent me the first homework assignment.
Dang, DXM!
I think carob is probably fine as its own thing, but as "just like chocolate" it is a hippy fail.
Hope you get relief and also ice cream, Dana!
Sheryl, I would never even try to pill my Buddy if there were any possible alternative. I've had nice cats who wouldn't take a pill, and Buddy is just not that into being that close.....
It may be worth it to enquire if you can get the medicine compounded into a fish paste (or a powder that can be mixed into a pat of butter) that the cat will be only too happy to lick off a paw. Not all drugs are compatible with this, but some can be done this way, and it's not that expensive.
Most cats are too fussy for Pill Pockets to be doable, YCMV.
I have been drinking a "Stress Relief" tea every night that has carob, ginger, cinnamon, a bit of stevia, and some other random herbs. Yogi Tea brand I think. It is lovely. The carob adds just enough chocolatey richness without actually being chocolate, kind of like the flavor you get from a good coffee or (not explicitly chocolate-based) porter. I like it for that.
If it relieves my stress, it is a drop in the bucket, but its good tea.
