My dad had surgery today. Everything went well and he's already at home, so that is good.

It looks like he has Lyme disease and his doctor has been dismissive of his symptoms since last fall, which is not good.
Ugh, not good at all. Are they going to give him an IV antibiotic treatment? I've watched a friend deal with chronic Lyme for years now and I'm really in the Nuke It From Space camp now.

This is about six blocks away from me. The park where we hold trans pride. The park we play soccer in. Across from where I dance. A block from the police station. People are saying there's tear gas in their apartments. I've heard helicopters the last several hours. Can't hear anything else and not worried for my own safety at this point but it's still scary.
