My World Lit professor in college had her forearm swell up like a frankfurter from a cat bite and had to have it lanced, so I've always been aware of how dangerous those can be.
My sister's cat once bit me and the bite ended up infected. I had to go to the emergency room, get IV antibiotics and a prescription for pills to take. It was short-term painful - and kind of scary - but once I was treated, it cleared up quickly.

There are a whole bunch of helicopters swarming around my neighborhood. It turns out there's a man on top of the Brooklyn Bridge, threatening to jump.
Looks like they finally got him down. He was up there for well over two hours.
msbelle, when I worked as a checker at Kroger's I'd occasionally get a check with a memorable name on it. The ones I remember are a John Crichton and a Louis Wu. I sometimes wonder how many of those I missed because they paid cash.
Tom - glad they got him down OK!
Tom, that's awful! Glad they were able to get him down.
