Natter 76: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Foaminess
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yeah, all the distilleries around here are making hand sanitizer, which I think is pretty cool.
Fuck, my BP is stupid low, not just for a Lang, but for a human (89/62). I'd been getting some lightheadedness and dizziness on and off for a couple (few?) weeks and assumed that they were stress-related.
Oh, could that be low blood pressure? My blood pressure tends fairly low, and I've been a little lightheaded here and there.
Good thing I had fried pickles and pizza for dinner?

Lightheadedness and dizziness are definitely symptoms of low blood pressure. Annoyingly, they're also symptoms of a kerzillion other things, like anxiety, migraines, and god only knows what else.
I mean, just being lightheaded/dizzy isn't proof of low blood pressure, but if you do have low blood pressure AND are lightheaded/dizzy, they're almost certainly linked.
I had a gluten free Hot Pocket and kettle cooked chips for dinner. Take THAT, blood pressure!
That house is divine. Almost worth the humidity.
Almost.
Yeah, to me nothing is worth living in the New Orleans climate. Probably any other city wouldn't be worth visiting with that climate, but they do get the gold medal for good food, good booze, and good times.

Hmph.
Several of our local distilleries are making hand sanitizer in NC, too.
The plumber fixed the plumbing issues, and tomorrow the landlord will be fixing everything that had to be torn down to get to the pipes. Then I can put everything back and get on with my sheltering in place. But for tonight, tequila and gardening shows.
It's a gallon in the smallest quantity, but you can get some sanitizer here

This is a small lighting company here in Los Angeles, and the company making the sanitizer has their main business making things like special effects fog for the entertainment industry. Yeah, a gallon is a bit of overkill, but if it is something you can use, consider it, you'll be buying the sanitizer you need, and also helping to support two entertainment companies.
I also read the cruise industry article and it is heart breaking. I still have a lot of friends who work in that industry, and I'm sure more than a few of them are out on ships right now and stuck, and in many cases don't even have a way to reach out. The cruise companies are not doing things well, but also different governments are making is very difficult to repatriate crew members. It's bad on all fronts.
This Baltimore place makes awesome hand sanitizer and you can buy it in small quantities. [link]
Remember the week of 95-100 F degrees I mentioned? (in Jerusalem. Other parts of the country are getting higher temperatures) Well, schools are kindda back and instead of deciding the kids will study in shifts/other arrangements to keep safe, Ministry of Education decided to bring down impossible instructions: get all of the kids back (other than the ones in risk), and study with the windows open, with masks, and without A/C. Obviously that is not a study environment.
So new instructions were dropped overnight: due to the heatwave, everyone in school and public spaces can wander around without masks. I'm keeping mine on and staying the hell away from people.
Yikes. Massachusetts just issued an opening roadmap with some dates for Phase 1 that on the whole seem quite sensible. And being the state we are, businesses have to fill out a detailed form as to the measures they're taking before they're allowed to open, such as distance between work stations and et cetera.
Oh dear. Looks like a subject I thought would be easy peasy to write a final paper about turned out to be kindda nightmarish to frame to officials even though they agree with the logic (it's the terminology they find hard to understand). I did not foresee that and now thinking what the hell I got myself into, but at least it is interesting and I'll get to practice my presentation skills. yay...?
