This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad to hear it, Amy!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Not surprisingly a Zoom meeting with a bunch of 4 year olds is chaotic. Most of the kids didn't want to speak, which was not a problem for ltc who wanted to talk more, but, as I suspected, the whole thing left her more upset than comforted.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, sj. I was hoping it would lift her spirits.

It was just too chaotic and then she was bored.

Thrive to spite them

I'm really not surprised about the bleach thing. It kind of makes sense especially with Trump hanging with anti vaxxers and that lot (or a portion of them) are really big on bleach to cure autism. although it's not straight bleach it's some sort of concoction they give to kids usually as an enema.

McConnell's "let the states go bankrupt" idea seems to have pissed off some Republicans. A few are backing him but others aren't so it's interesting to see where the split is.

And I'm worried about Matthew's mom, she's been self medicating a lot lately and I'm worried it's turning into substance abuse but there's nothing I can really do. I mentioned something to Matthew.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My boss went to the doctor yesterday (not virus related); he said they took his temperature six times.

It is so hard to try and make adults behave themselves, even harder with parents. I'm sorry. I know it is hard to watch.

he said they took his temperature six times

I confess to taking mine once a day, despite feeling fine.

I keep hearing stories about people yelling at their elderly parents to stay home, often with no luck. There is an amusing video of an Italian father who announces he's going out for coffee, to the protests of his family. He puts his coat on, goes out ... and then stops at the kitchen window to get coffee.
