Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The person I'm talking to about pharmacy benefits just went on a tangent about grapes.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

If I end up getting the 'rona I'll know to blame it on taco Tuesday. I just went to a local Mexican restaurant that had five people crammed into the phone booth-style setup for to-go orders at the entrance, and another 8 or 9 construction workers constantly cycling in and out from the truck (singular!) they drove up in like a game of musical chairs.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

MA schools are closed until the end of the school year and day cares until at least te the end of June. I'm assuming the same will apply to school camp.

Thrive to spite them

SC is supposed to make a decision about schools by the end of the week. I am going to guess they will continue school.. I mean they are opening up everything might as well open schools.

Got on the unemployment website and saw some info but had to register to work ....and I tried to do that and kept getting error messages. Have to try back later. But something got approved so that is good. Don't know when I'll get any money but at least there is some movement.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My tortillas arrived in time for me to have my scheduled lamb and tortilla lunch! Something went right today...

Please observe how valiantly I am not pouring myself a glass of the wine I needed to open to cook the lamb, because Work.

It's raining here which means the WiFi is being wonky and TCG won't be able to take ltc outside when he gets home. I'm very depressed today, and can't do anything to shake it off.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Shopping for work was almost civilized, both in terms of volume -- only about 10 requests for a couple items each -- and in store craziness. Except that I had to go to two stores in order to find Half & Half that wasn't fat-free.

(Side-note: what is the point of fat-free Half & Half? Shouldn't it just be called Half?)

On the down side, the second round of Trump Plague testing came back, and five residents were quarantined with it. I am strongly hoping this means that they were largely asymptomatic and will have mild and hardly noticeable illnesses... but that's not the way to bet. Here's hoping.

Fingers crossed for your quarantined residents, Theo.

Fat-free half and half is an oxymoron, isn't it?

Can I get through this conference call without crying? Maybe bursting into tears would be a good move, actually, but I'm still going to try not to.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I'm trying to write up notes from a conference call that took place last Thursday. A lot of it didn't make sense anyway (I didn't have the info they kept referring to, although I could find it later) and I was bored out of my mind. That, and with the intervening time and drama, and I'm finding myself even more bored. This is one thing in my job that I really hate ... it's boring, it's tedious, but it saves my boss being bogged down with it.
