I look more rad than Lutheranism

I had to throw out the better part of a 5-pound bag of flour due to a weevil infestation.

I had to throw out a bag of gluten-free flour because of weevils. That shit is so much more expensive than regular flour, it was painful to toss it out. So everything is in ziploc bags now.

Still haven't made cookies, but I'm thinking later I'm going to make those chocolate/oat no-bake cookies.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Huh, apparently J. August Richards just came out as gay.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Welcome one and all to grocery roulette - can I order, will i get a delivery and how much will actually arrive - and what are the odds that suddenly we have two deliveries (hint: 100%) , While I can't say I am eager to get back to the gtocery store ... this is driving me crazy.

In much more fun news: we had parrots in the yard wednesady and thursday.

and why does Beth not sleep: Because the library will not come up with a @#%&$ plan . We were off with pay through the 7th of April. then we had two weeks of emergency pay. now we can go back to work . Doing something, but they won't tell us what. just not public facing. They were going to let us know on the 22. The city has said you must wear a mask when out in public. As a government employee i don't get to play fast and loose with rules. I have a lot of leave ( yay for rolling over sick time) So I ended up saying No, I will not come back with out you telling me what i might be doing. But most people can't do that....So I am pissed - as well as scared. So I wake up and have afguements with invisible people

Because books.

Ugh, beth. That's not good.

Also, wow to Laura's aunt. Stay safe, Laura's aunt!

Cambro bins are how we store 50-lb bags of flour (and sugar, etc) at the bakery, but I don't know if you can get one, Juliana, or if you have space for it. Once we open a bag, it goes in there, and it has a lid. I wish I could have Cambro everything at home.

Took the dog for a walk in my mask just now, and someone in a gray pickup very pointedly waved. I have no idea who it was, but I guess they know me by my dog?

Yikes beth, hopefully you can get some sounder sleep (and a more cohesive work plan) soon.

Huh, apparently J. August Richards just came out as gay.

Whoa! I haven't been this floored by a coming out since Meredith Baxter.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I have been reliably informed that you can just sift the weevils out.

I had every intention of buying a 50lb bag of flour in bulk, but when I went back to actually order it was sold out! And the next level up is a pallet of 50 50lb bags which is...too much.

I can find sandwich bread if I go to the store super-early, but I usually make everything else from scratch. Pita, pizza dough, baguettes, desserts, breakfast things.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Huh, apparently J. August Richards just came out as gay.

I am not at all surprised. Good for him.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ugh, beth, needing to know what you will be doing to go back to work seems like a reasonable requirement! Yay, parrots, though.

Aw, everyone out in the world better be nice to JAR! I'm so protective of him. Haven't been watching his newer shows, but I feel bad about it

Our wings are not tired.

Happy belated birthday to beth b and beekaytee! Not sure where I was at to miss them. In the hazy fog of life no doubt.

I can barely use 5 lbs of flour. 50 lbs is not happening. Tonight I am going to make eggplant parm for the first time. As much as I love to order it, for some reason I have never actually made it.

Thrive to spite them

I have not baked but I really mean to. Maybe you can figure out some kind of trade with the flour with some people in your area.

I went to the produce market and it would have been super fun if it weren't for the lack of social distancing going on and just the general stresses. Lots of Latin/Mexican ingredients. Four different varieties of sweet potatoes. I got some and also some okra and yellow squash and mayhaw jelly as a treat. Then came home and washed everything with hot water to do my best to de germ it. I wore a DIY bandana mask and liberally used hand sanitizer while I was there. It wouldn't have been so crowded if there hadn't been multiple couples, most of them had masks so they should know you don't need 2 people to go grocery shopping. I was thinking about venturing to the Bi Lo for groceries but I'm back to pick up at Wal Mart.

I don't know enough about JAR except , you know Angel so I can't say I'm surprised or not but from what I've seen on the little bit of Instagram I follow he realy is proud of his current show so I hope that it is successful (I need to check it out)
