I highly recommend teaching your kid to work the tv remote. I slept in until 9:30 after a brief visit from ltc who likes to jump on our bed.

I found out this weekend that our 78 year old RN aunt is back to work. She had been working full time at the hospital prior to this crisis, well more than full time 4 12s a week. Then they furloughed her because of concerns for her age. Last week they called her back.
Oh wow, Laura.
Do you need flour, msbelle? Dylan's is selling it.
I don't need it, but will if I do any stress baking. Right now mask-making is holding that "busy thyself" part of my anxiety. But thank you, good to know a local source.
I started today by missing a blood donation appointment, and husband found out that the stupid fucking job is still interviewing other candidates and won't be done until the end of the week.
We have a 50-pound(!!!!) bag of flour, because M saw it at Costco and decided it was a good idea.
I had to throw out the better part of a 5-pound bag of flour due to a weevil infestation. So a 50+ lb bug-proof container is highly recommended.

I had to throw out a bag of gluten-free flour because of weevils. That shit is so much more expensive than regular flour, it was painful to toss it out. So everything is in ziploc bags now.
Still haven't made cookies, but I'm thinking later I'm going to make those chocolate/oat no-bake cookies.
Huh, apparently J. August Richards just came out as gay.
Welcome one and all to grocery roulette - can I order, will i get a delivery and how much will actually arrive - and what are the odds that suddenly we have two deliveries (hint: 100%) , While I can't say I am eager to get back to the gtocery store ... this is driving me crazy.
In much more fun news: we had parrots in the yard wednesady and thursday.
and why does Beth not sleep: Because the library will not come up with a @#%&$ plan . We were off with pay through the 7th of April. then we had two weeks of emergency pay. now we can go back to work . Doing something, but they won't tell us what. just not public facing. They were going to let us know on the 22. The city has said you must wear a mask when out in public. As a government employee i don't get to play fast and loose with rules. I have a lot of leave ( yay for rolling over sick time) So I ended up saying No, I will not come back with out you telling me what i might be doing. But most people can't do that....So I am pissed - as well as scared. So I wake up and have afguements with invisible people
Ugh, beth. That's not good.
Also, wow to Laura's aunt. Stay safe, Laura's aunt!
Cambro bins are how we store 50-lb bags of flour (and sugar, etc) at the bakery, but I don't know if you can get one, Juliana, or if you have space for it. Once we open a bag, it goes in there, and it has a lid. I wish I could have Cambro everything at home.
Took the dog for a walk in my mask just now, and someone in a gray pickup very pointedly waved. I have no idea who it was, but I guess they know me by my dog?
